Amazon announces 2027 FBA fees, with storage changes in February
Most announced fee changes start January 15, 2027; FBA fulfillment rises $0.19 per unit on average, with product-specific increases and decreases. From February 1, storage-utilization surcharges end, aged-inventory and monthly storage charges merge into age-based rates, and low-inventory assessment changes. The previously reported fuel and logistics surcharge continues unchanged.
Our read
Check rates per apparel SKU. In our hypothetical $30 sale with $10 cost and 15% commission, raising fulfillment from $4 to $4.19 cuts calculated profit from $11.50 to $11.31. Slow-moving sizes and colors also need an inventory-age review.

Who is affected
- US FBA apparel sellers need SKU-specific fee estimates.
- Slow-moving variations face higher aged-stock costs; inventory turning within six months is described as flat or cheaper.
- February low-inventory assessment uses actual shipments in the four weeks before and after assessment, with a below-28-day supply threshold.
- Fully seller-fulfilled orders outside FBA do not incur these FBA charges.
