From November 2, API cancellations count toward seller-fault cancellation rate; the integration workflow is unchanged. Buyer-requested cancellations should use the Seller IM card and require buyer confirmation within 24 hours.

Our read

Apparel sellers using order software should review this workflow immediately. A chat agreement should lead to a confirmation card, not an API cancellation.

Publication uses the November 5 roundup; it specifies November 2 implementation.

Who is affected

  • US sellers canceling orders through integrations.
  • Agreed cancellation covers whole orders before shipment, not individual items.

What to do

  • Separate buyer requests from genuine seller-fault cancellations in your software.
  • Check status and deadlines until confirmation; an expired card does not cancel the order.

What the official text says
